Our Pledge to You
Whether you just want to browse or already have a potential pet in mind, you will have a great experience at the Caring Hands Humane Society.
Our friendly adoption counselors are available to assist you every step of the way. We can tell you about each animal's individual personality; how they are with dogs, kids and cats.
We have a private visitation room where you can get to know potential matches as well as a fenced dog walk area.
We will provide you with all the support you need to ensure a successful adjustment and a happy home with your new pet.

We Offer Quality Pets
We have a great selection of dogs including a variety of pure breeds, designer breeds and plenty of great mixes! The American Mutt is still the number one choice for adopters!
It’s hard to describe a better feline than what you can adopt from Caring Hands Humane Society. Again, we often have pure breed cats, as well as plenty of domestic short hair and long hair cats. We take care to socialize our cats with each other, with adults and with young people.
All of our cats use the litter box!
If you don’t see what you want, we offer a breed request list.
When we receive a pet that matches your request, we will give you a call.
Behavioral Assessment & Personality Profiles
Any companion animal you adopt from Caring Hands Humane Society will be behaviorally assessed. We can tell you how they react to body handling, other dogs and we can check them out with cats.
We spend a lot of time getting to know the animals in our care, and can tell you a lot about their individual personalities likes and dislikes.
For those pets who were surrendered to us by a previous guardian, we will have a detailed personality profile telling you how they were in their previous home environment.
Spay & Neuter, Vaccinations & Wellness Check
All pets adopted from Caring Hands Humane Society will have received a wellness check and a full series of vaccinations except rabies (which you will need to provide). All of our pets are already spayed or neutered, which not only means you won’t have unexpected litters of puppies or kittens to contend with, it means additional savings for you.
.
Micro-Chip
All pets adopted from Caring Hands Humane Society will come with a micro-chip. For a small fee, you can re-register the chip to your name. If your pet ever becomes lost the first thing almost all shelters, humane societies, and veterinary offices do when a stray animal comes in is to scan for a microchip. Micro-chips save lives!
Behavioral Assistance
Your experience won’t stop when you leave with your new friend!
Not only will you have access to our Online Behavioral Center, our behavioral counselors are here for you to help with any questions or problems during your new pet’s period of adjustment or down the road.
