We offer this service as a way to help with the grieving process one must face with the loss of a companion animal. The $100 donation you make for this service helps provide food, care and shelter to the many animals that come through our doors every year.
How do I arrange a pet cremation?
Please ask your veterinarian to make arangements or you can choose to bring your pet to Caring Hands from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Saturday. Please call 316 283 0839.
How are the remains returned to me?
Our rigorous and ethical standards of operating procedures guarantee you receive the quickest and most efficient service possible. Your pet's remains will be returned to you in an attractive container or you have the option to choose from several styles of urns.
What can I do with my pet's remains?
You may choose to place the urn in your pet's favorite place in the home or bury it in his or her favorite place outside. In Newton it is legal to bury or scatter the ashes in your own yard. We do not recommend scattering the ashes on a landlord's property or public property.
How much does pet cremation cost?
Cost for a cremation is $100 for pets up to 100 lbs. This inlcudes an attractive container and pick up and delivery to your clinic. Urns listed in the catalog are an extra expense. This fee may be paid directly to your clinic if we pick the remains up there, or to us if you bring the remains here.
