Introduce the animals in stages.
When you first bring your new dog home, shut your existing dog(s) in a room. Allow the new dog to explore your house (supervised) then crate him / her. Let your existing dogs out of the room and let them discover the new dog. After the initial excitement wears off, then let the new dog out of the crate so they can get aquainted.
Limit time without supervision. Again, a crate will help. Even if your other pets don't sleep in a crate, it is recommended that the new dog(s) sleep in a crate to start.
NEVER show favoritism towards any dog! Dogs are very sensitive to this and it can cause a grudge between dogs. Correct any aggresive behavior immediately.
