Ways to Help Caring Hands Humane Society

We try very hard to find a home for every pet entrusted to us. We try very, very hard. It is our goal to become a "No-Kill" shelter. We are not there yet, but each year we get closer.

The truth is a humane society cannot reach No-Kill on its own. It takes a community working together. We are very grateful to our members, foster homes, volunteers and donors! Your help has not only meant the ability to save more animals, but also the ability to provide the best quality of life possible for the companion animals in our care.

You can help us build on that foundation and move closer to no-kill by providing a Foster Home, Volunteering or Helping Financially.

Foster Homes

Too often, when animals come to CHHS faster than we can find homes for them, we have to make hard choices.

Too often, a few weeks to recover from injury, starvation or the effects of treatable illness would have meant the difference between life and death. Foster Homes make that difference!

You can try it once, or foster several animals.

Volunteering at Caring Hands

When you go home after volunteering at Caring Hands Humane Society, you will know that you have made a difference. You will see it in the eyes of the animals you have helped!

A clean, socialized and trained pet has a much greater chance of finding a home. We need help bathing and grooming animals, exercising, socializing and training them as well as with special events and other offsite programs.

Donations

Memberships and Donations

When you donate or purchase a membership at Caring Hands you help provide displaced pets with food, shelter, medicine, vaccinations and essential veterinary care.

One $25 membership will provide one animal with two vaccinations a year. A $100 membership will provide the vaccinations and also allow us to spay or neuter that animal.

A Memorial Brick

Memorials and Planned Giving

Legacies and Memorials are ways for people from all walks of life to think beyond their lifespan or to honor a loved one.

This way of giving makes a difference in lives yet to come, in this case both the lives of companion animals and the lives of the people who will love them. Gifts large and small are important and every gift makes a difference!
