Caring Hands Humane Society will assist residents of Harvey County with the cost of spaying or neutering their pets. Ask for a S.N.Y.P. voucher, which will cover up to $65 of the cost of the procedure with participating veterinarians.
Altering your pet results in better health and longer life for the animal and peace of mind for you. Many unaltered pets run much greater risks of developing certain cancers and other serious health problems. Males neutered early in life exhibit less aggression and do not wander or stray as much to find a mate.
This means less temptation for your pet to cross off your property into dangerous traffic areas, or to become a public nuisance. Spayed female pets won't cause unwanted suitors to camp out in your yard or roam in search of a mate. Both spaying and neutering are low risk procedures, generally without complications. Consult your veterinarian if you have special concerns.
Also, by spaying or neutering you save lives down the road when unexpected and unwanted litters that would likely be surrendered to a shelter and who would possibly never find homes are NOT born.
We ask that you pick up your S.N.Y.P. Voucher in person, here at Caring Hands Humane Society. We ask that you bring your valid drivers license with a Harvey County address. If you have multiple animals, and would like more than one voucher, we can accomodate that. Vouchers expire after 30 days.
